Qualification – Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus
Experience – Min 8 + years exp as Purchase Manager or Senir Purchase Executive or Senior Purchase Engineer or procurement Head from solar power renewable energy industry
Skills & Job Descriptions
- Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to the solar industry, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and timely delivery.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure a competitive edge and robust supply chain.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers for solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, batteries, cables, and other materials.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers for contracts, terms, and pricing agreements.
- Develop cost-saving initiatives by analyzing market trends, vendor pricing, and sourcing alternatives.
- Manage purchasing budgets and track cost performance to meet the company’s financial targets.
- Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to streamline material handling and optimize inventory storage.
- Manage audits and assessments of suppliers to guarantee the reliability of the supply chain
- Implement and manage procurement software and tools to enhance efficiency and transparency in the purchasing process.
- Stay updated with advancements in the solar industry, including emerging technologies, new materials, and market dynamics
